![]() I'm honestly shocked that Music on MacOS is so buggy. The computer is only a few months old anyway and has few non-native apps on it. Spent 4+ hours on the phone with senior advisors with Apple trying everything else they can think of.Įverything short of re-installing MacOS fresh on my computer, which I am hesitant to do. Open Music while holding Command+Option (safe mode). Remove Google Chrome (messes with other things) Remove all VPNs and other network-related software from my Mac and iPhone. Toggle "Sync Library" on all devices, with restart & 10 minute wait in between turning it back on.Ĭreate new Music library on MacOS from scratch and rebuild playlists etc. I do pay for Apple Music and have iCloud signed in. Only on the new machine, once running MacOS Monterey, did this arise. I never had these issues on my old ~2016 MacBook Pro using the same sync method. I'm running a new 16" M1 MacBook Pro, and my iPhone is a new iPhone 13 Pro. Changes to songs are only saved if sync is successful. The only way I can get it to sync is by by booting into Safe Mode, at which point I can get it to sync a few times. I am trying to edit info for MP3s which I have added myself, not ones from Apple Music streaming. Here's my issue: Every time I make changes to songs, metadata, or playlist info (order etc), and then try to sync these changes via File > Library > Sync Cloud Library, it runs the "Updating Cloud Library" box at bottom left, but when it finishes, all of my changes instantly revert and do not show up on my iPhone or other devices. Music on MacOS Won't Sync Changes to Cloud Library Hi all, This is very annoying and i'm starting to regret using Apple Music (i chose AM because of the ability to have both library and streaming in same app.) ![]() I tried to disconnect and deactivate/reactivate cloud sync without change. So i can't use correctly the playlist and library function because they enter in conflict. If i put these songs to my library and remove them right before sync, then i can add them correctly the next time, but this time the songs disappear from my playlists ! The issue i have is that if Apple Music find an equivalent of my new files already in some of my playlists, it won't let me add these ones to my library (it's shown in the songs list when added but disappears quickly after the cloud synchronizes). Then once every few monthes i buy some albums and add them to my own library because i prefer to have physically the songs. Basically what i do is listen to new albums with streaming, put the songs/albums i like in playlists. I use Apple Music for both streaming new songs and sync my own library with cloud sync. I have a weird issue with Apple Music cloud sync. Playlist and Library conflict with Apple Music Hello, I should add, OS is up to date on all devices. It seems like adding the song to the playlist doesn't register with Apple's cloud server, so that when I try to update the cloud library, the server thinks that the song I added to the playlist shouldn't be there, and deletes it from the playlist. ![]() So syncing is working for any music downloaded from Apple, but syncing is not working when I add that song to a playlist. Worse, the disappears from the playlist it was added to on the first device. If I click on 'update cloud library' in the file menu, the playlist does not update on other devices. However, when I try to add a song to a playlist, the playlist does not sync, so the added song does not appear in the same playlist on any other device. The sync checkbox is ticked on all my devices. So if I download a song from Apple music on one device, it will show as a download on all my devices. I am having no trpouble syncing downloads between my apple devices. Playlists not syncing between devices This is a weird problem that has only recently started.
