12/10/2023 0 Comments Qubo night owl episode![]() In retrospect, producer Lou Scheimer felt that it had been an error to produce a Ghostbusters show in direct competition to the more popular Columbia show. ![]() This confusion led to poor toy sales for the Filmation show. The Filmation show and the DiC show aired simultaneously, and this left audiences confused because they had similar titles and concepts. DiC titled their own adaptation of the movie The Real Ghostbusters to directly distinguish it from the Filmation show. It was released just a few days ahead of DiC's series. Filmation then decided to make their own animated show based on their 1975 live-action sitcom. After the film became a success, Filmation offered to make an animated series, but Columbia chose instead to give the contract to DiC. This deal did not include giving Filmation the rights to make an animated series based on the film. Columbia agreed to license the name from Filmation for $608,000, plus 1% of the profits (of which there were ostensibly none thanks to Hollywood accounting). When Columbia Pictures started producing the film Ghostbusters in 1984, it neglected the fact that Filmation had already produced a live-action comedy series with that same name in 1975. While The Real Ghostbusters had the catchphrase "Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!", each episode of Filmation's Ghostbusters also used a catchphrase: "Let's go, Ghostbusters!" or another protagonist would talk with Skelevision about the lesson. Skelevision (sometimes accompanied by Belfry) is the character most often employed in this role. Like almost all 1980s Filmation cartoons, each episode closes with a segment describing a particular lesson that can be learned from the events of the episode. In a typical episode, Prime Evil uses his magical powers to open up a wormhole to enable one or more of his henchmen to complete a particular scheme that serves to help him take over the world.įamous guest-star ghosts and monsters that appeared on the show include Count Dracula (who is actually a vampire) and the Headless Horseman (who also appeared in an episode of The Real Ghostbusters written by Jean-Marc Lofficier's wife, Randy Lofficier). Prime Evil's headquarters, termed the Hauntquarters (which resembles the British Houses of Parliament complete with a Big Ben-esque clock tower), is located in The Fifth Dimension. Together, they have dedicated themselves to ridding the world of the evil ghost wizard Prime Evil and his cast of henchmen. They occasionally enlist the aid of Futura, a time-traveling Ghostbuster from the future, and Jessica Wray, a local TV news reporter. They are supported by a number of secondary characters including Ansabone, a talking skull phone Skelevision, a talking skeleton television Belfry, a pink talking bat and Ghost Buggy Jr., their talking car. Their headquarters, termed Ghost Command, is located in a haunted mansion nestled between a number of tall skyscrapers (which resemble the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City). are the sons of the original Ghost Busters from the live-action comedy series of the same name Tracy the Gorilla had worked with their fathers. In the 1980s, ABC aired the series in Australia. In the U.S., reruns of the show previously aired on CBN Cable The Family Channel, Qubo's Qubo Night Owl block from 2010 to 2013 and most recently on the Retro Television Network until 2015. The series is technically called simply Ghostbusters, but home video releases used the name Filmation's Ghostbusters to avoid confusion. This animated series ran from September 8 to Decemin daytime syndication, and produced 65 episodes. The success of Columbia's (unrelated) film spurred Filmation to resurrect their own property, producing an animated series based on the characters from the earlier TV show. When making their film, Columbia Pictures needed to obtain rights to use the name from Filmation. It is not to be confused with Columbia Pictures' 1984 film Ghostbusters or that film's subsequent animated television show The Real Ghostbusters, which premiered five days later. ![]() ![]() Ghostbusters (later called Filmation's Ghostbusters) is a 1986 American animated television series created by Filmation and distributed by Tribune Entertainment, serving as the sequel to Filmation's 1975 live-action television show The Ghost Busters.

![]() I'm honestly shocked that Music on MacOS is so buggy. The computer is only a few months old anyway and has few non-native apps on it. Spent 4+ hours on the phone with senior advisors with Apple trying everything else they can think of.Įverything short of re-installing MacOS fresh on my computer, which I am hesitant to do. Open Music while holding Command+Option (safe mode). Remove Google Chrome (messes with other things) Remove all VPNs and other network-related software from my Mac and iPhone. Toggle "Sync Library" on all devices, with restart & 10 minute wait in between turning it back on.Ĭreate new Music library on MacOS from scratch and rebuild playlists etc. I do pay for Apple Music and have iCloud signed in. Only on the new machine, once running MacOS Monterey, did this arise. I never had these issues on my old ~2016 MacBook Pro using the same sync method. I'm running a new 16" M1 MacBook Pro, and my iPhone is a new iPhone 13 Pro. Changes to songs are only saved if sync is successful. The only way I can get it to sync is by by booting into Safe Mode, at which point I can get it to sync a few times. I am trying to edit info for MP3s which I have added myself, not ones from Apple Music streaming. Here's my issue: Every time I make changes to songs, metadata, or playlist info (order etc), and then try to sync these changes via File > Library > Sync Cloud Library, it runs the "Updating Cloud Library" box at bottom left, but when it finishes, all of my changes instantly revert and do not show up on my iPhone or other devices. Music on MacOS Won't Sync Changes to Cloud Library Hi all, This is very annoying and i'm starting to regret using Apple Music (i chose AM because of the ability to have both library and streaming in same app.) ![]() I tried to disconnect and deactivate/reactivate cloud sync without change. So i can't use correctly the playlist and library function because they enter in conflict. If i put these songs to my library and remove them right before sync, then i can add them correctly the next time, but this time the songs disappear from my playlists ! The issue i have is that if Apple Music find an equivalent of my new files already in some of my playlists, it won't let me add these ones to my library (it's shown in the songs list when added but disappears quickly after the cloud synchronizes). Then once every few monthes i buy some albums and add them to my own library because i prefer to have physically the songs. Basically what i do is listen to new albums with streaming, put the songs/albums i like in playlists. I use Apple Music for both streaming new songs and sync my own library with cloud sync. I have a weird issue with Apple Music cloud sync. Playlist and Library conflict with Apple Music Hello, I should add, OS is up to date on all devices. It seems like adding the song to the playlist doesn't register with Apple's cloud server, so that when I try to update the cloud library, the server thinks that the song I added to the playlist shouldn't be there, and deletes it from the playlist. ![]() So syncing is working for any music downloaded from Apple, but syncing is not working when I add that song to a playlist. Worse, the disappears from the playlist it was added to on the first device. If I click on 'update cloud library' in the file menu, the playlist does not update on other devices. However, when I try to add a song to a playlist, the playlist does not sync, so the added song does not appear in the same playlist on any other device. The sync checkbox is ticked on all my devices. So if I download a song from Apple music on one device, it will show as a download on all my devices. I am having no trpouble syncing downloads between my apple devices. Playlists not syncing between devices This is a weird problem that has only recently started. Still confused? Look for the huge hickory nuts in the fall, when the nuts are ripe, they will split open a little, looking like dark brown flower bulbs ready to bloom. The underside of the leaves are a lighter shade than the outer side, with very thick, protruding veins. However, towards the end, hickory leaves will start growing a little wider (the base is thinner than the tip) to take on a raindrop shape. Hickory leaves are long and pointy, like walnut leaves. Perhaps this is why ancient Germanic societies used beech wood and leaves as a source of writing before paper was invented! Fun fact: young beech leaves make an excellent salad in the spring. The surface of beech leaves have a smooth and paper-like texture. This means that although the edges are sharp and pointy, they are also wavy and curve in and inwards between each tooth. ![]() Photo: Woodland Trust Beechīeech tree leaves have edges are toothed and curved (even though the veins are straight and parallel veins). If you touch a sweetgum leaf, you will notice that it is smooth and shiny, as if it’s been glossed over with translucent coating. One way to tell the difference is that sweetgum leaves are thicker than maple leaves and have more noticeable veins. ![]() Some species of sweetgum even turn red and orange in the fall like maple does (super confusing, right). Like maple, sweetgum has sharply pointed lobes that look like starts. The confusing thing about sweetgum leaves are that they look very similar to maple leaves. Additionally, the edges of the leaves will curl slightly inward (because they are so thin!). However, they aren’t always perfect ovals: some take on a bulky, round shape. Fir leaves grow in bunches, like pine, but in a neater, cylindrical pattern, and less “fanned out.”ĭogwood leaves are thin and almost translucent if you put them up in sunlight, you will see the light right through them, making the veins on the leaf visible. The tips of the needles are typically not very sharp, although the younger the tree, the sharper they will be. And no, the needles don’t get any longer or thinner, contrary to my childhood beliefs.įir trees look pretty much like your decorated tree during Christmas (without the decorations, of course) These leaves are almost a mix between a yew leaf and a pine needle: they are flat and thick needles like yew, but they are long and slim like pine. Yew needles are flat, round, and very short, perhaps no more than one inch long each. They actually were a whole different species: yew trees. I realized that they were not pine trees at all. I used to think these small, stubby, shrub-looking trees were baby pine trees, and that their needles would grow long and thin one day. Be careful when you touch them - you might get pine sap on your fingers which, although it smells amazing, will take forever to wash off. Pine trees are evergreen conifer trees, meaning that they are green all year round and bear cones instead of fruit. ![]() Pine “leaves” are actually thin needles that grow in little bunches. Cherry blossom tree leaves look very similar to elm leaves the way you can tell them apart is subtle, but you’ll see that elm leaves have more defined teeth, and are tougher than cherry blossom leaves, which are more fragile and thin. They also have a pointy tip, making the oval shape more like a teardrop. These leaves are also toothed, meaning they have jagged points all around the edges, like little teeth. In most cases, you should be able to fold a maple leaf in half down from its stem to the tip, and have both sides align perfectly.Ĭherry blossom trees, also known as sakura trees, have oval shaped leaves. The maple family falls under the genus Acer, which means “sharp” in Latin. The maple leaf, featured on the Canadian flag, is pointy and symmetrical. The picture above shows round lobed oak leaves, meaning the tree is a white oak. Red and white oaks are just different species of oak, and two of the most common ones. The difference between round and pointed is that round lobed leaves mean that the oak is a white oak, and pointed leaves mean the oak is a red oak. They have rounded or pointed “knobs” around the leaf. Oak leaves are easily identifiable because of their lobed leaves. They isolate the terminals of the internal cells from the outside world when they detect a voltage problem. you may not have come across the Battery Management (BMS) cards. That bike shows up at the grocery 2 or 3 times a week where the guy who built his own battery does not park. You will see on my bike left, I wrapped a generic luna battery in aluminum angle, some plastic insulation, a PVC sheet for rain resistance, than hung it on front of my bicycle. I've seen one MTB conversion at the local grocery, the guy said he had soldered his battery together from cells he bought on ali. People say a lot of nice things about grin technology in Ca. I bought two **** batteries from amazon & ebay, so the one generic battery vendor I can recommend from experience in USA is luna. America, the best I think you can do is buy a new battery from a reputable vendor and adapt the connectors and wiring. If you live in ***** you might be able to find the source of genuine new cells. Plus the new cells you can buy, there aren't a lot of reputable vendors. My welding gloves wouldn't hold that flame off I don't believe. Flame about a foot in diameter if watching cell phone batteries on television is any indication. Looking for replacement batteries online, and they seem to go for at least 400$!
